To exfoliate or not to exfoliate, that’s the question. What is exfoliation? Who needs to exfoliate and who doesn’t?  Should I use an exfoliating body wash or an exfoliating soap? All good questions, so let’s get the dirt on exfoliating skin!

Exfoliating or exfoliation is a process of removing the upper most layer of skin during bathing to reveal new skin. Every day, dead cells are cast off by the skin to reveal new cell growth underneath. Exfoliation aids in the process by manually whisking away the dead cells. Almost anyone can and should include exfoliation into their skin care regimen. Even those with sensitive skin CAN exfoliate.

Exfoliating body wash or soap? For those with sensitive skin, the exfoliating body wash may be a better choice as it glides and foams over the skin. Gentleness is key. A soft washcloth or sponge would be a good choice to pair. For a little deeper cleansing action, exfoliating soap would be a good choice. Or handmade soap in a mesh soap sack or sisal cloth would be good partners as well. All of these products can be found on the Foreue.com website.

The beauty of smooth, glowing skin lies in the cycle of cell regeneration and renewal. A little helping hand through exfoliating skin once or twice a week is perfect. So get washing and glowing!
