If you’re just discovering the importance of natural true beauty skin care products and cosmetics, you probably have a lot of questions. One of the most important questions to help you get started is to clear up the difference between  natural, organic, and vegan skin care products.  You can walk into a natural food or beauty shop and find an array of products that claim to be natural, organic, or vegan- it seems that people automatically assume these three things are the same thing, but that is not the case. Read on to find out the difference between these labels.

Natural- A lot of things are natural, and while many assume that all natural things are safe and good, that’s not always true. Poison ivy is natural, but its not good. Many companies also claim that they only offer natural organic beauty products and cosmetics, and that may be true, but, in addition, they could contain chemicals and agents too.

To find out if a product is really natural, you need to read the label. If the label only list natural derivatives or oils, yet it contains other chemicals and preservatives, then it’s not really part of the truly natural organic beauty products category.

Organic- Organic fruits and vegetables are supposed to be pure, which means that they contain  no pesticides nor other harmful agents. However, like the natural label, the organic label doesn’t always certify purity. The only way to be certain if you’re getting a organic beauty product is by checking the label. Many natural organic beauty products and true beauty skin care products sold in the United States(and in a few other countries) have a label stating that they are certified organic by at least 70% percent. Another way to go organic is to buy the organic goods yourself and make handmade true beauty skin care products.

Vegan- Anything with the vegan label should not contain any animal products or their byproducts, and no animal testing(even though most natural organic beauty products don’t test on animals or contain animal byproducts).

Finding the most natural of skin care products takes a little time and effort, but its worth it.
