Skin and Soul Food
We take at least 3 meals a day to feed our bodies with food that is wholesome, nourishing and lovingly prepared. Why shouldn’t we do the same with our skin, and feed our skin with the best skin food, more than once a day?
Be it myth, be it limitation on time, be it simple misconception. The largest organ in our body, our skin, has the awesome job of regulating body temperature, eliminating toxins, insulating against disease, etc. For all the good that it does, doesn’t it also deserve some the best skin food, several times a day?
For instance, take a 5-10 minute walk around the cubicles at work while rubbing some vegan rosemary and peppermint lotion on your hands and elbows. Or at your desk, sit back and close your eyes for a moment while inhaling a citrus aroma cream placed on your wrists and temples for an afternoon pick me up? Both are nourishing to the soul along with being the best skin food. Just imagine how much better your day would flow if these were done several times a day!
At the end of the day is the most precious. Give ourselves time to relish a tepid shower with an herbal soap to wash away the day’s work. Lovingly feed your face, torso, arms and hands with a nutritious oil or lotion which is some of the best skin food you could ask for. Don’t forget your feet. They are the most precious of all! A gentle foot massage on reflexology points will send your spirits and skin to heaven.
