Beauty, Yes, and It’s About Natural Ingredient Skin Care (regardless the gender)
When it comes to health and well being, there is no divide between the genders. To put it simply, ailments and vitality do not discriminate. So why is it that when we talk about self care and healthy skin care, the words beauty and health seem to pertain only to women and vanity?
Flip open any magazine or ezine and the first thing that pops out are advertisement for skin, hair and nails. Surely, they appeal to most women wanting to look younger, healthier and sexier. But I also believe to a great extent, men too are looking for the same. So even in the world of advertising, the bottom line message is gender neutral. Our general bias about healthy skin care products has more to do with perception and preconceived notions than anything.
In the natural world, disease like diabetes or neuropathy does not prefer a male patient anymore than a female patient. Longevity and happiness does not discriminate either. Even a natural skin care ingredient like lavender will show no bias. Lavender will still calm and relieve tension and is still a natural ingredient skin care that acts as an insect repellent.
So it is to quote, what’s good for the goose is also good for the gander. Nature makes no separation. Why should we?
