Despite the fact that using more natural skin treatment products and cosmetics are in general, more safe to use, that doesn’t mean you won’t have an occasional allergy to the cosmetic. Every ingredient(natural and man-made chemicals) has the possibility of someone having an adverse reaction to it. Before you begin to use any new cosmetic or skin care product(whether homemade or not, you should do a test on a small portion of your skin and wait at least 24 hours to find out if there is a reaction or not.

Here are a few commonly used natural herbs and young living essential oils that are often associated with such allergic reactions. Even though there are a lot of natural beauty products that use these certain natural ingredients, these can cause trouble for those with sensitive skin: cocoa butter, bergamot, peppermint, almond oil, and lanolin.

Some of the astringent properties of peppermint and violet leaves can be a bit harsh for your skin. Cocoa butter(which is the vegetable fat that was extracted from the cacao bean) used in pure form can aggravate allergies. And if you have any allergic reaction to almonds or other tree nuts, it is best to avoid almond young living essential oils and products that contain them. When you feel your best, you look your best. So its always important to use the right products for yourself.
