Generally acne is considered an adolescent problem. But adults are not immune to acne and other skin infections. There is not a singular cause of adult acne, instead acne is usually caused by a variety of conditions including hormone imbalances, free radicals, clogged pores due to over production of sebum, stress, and even foods that cause acne, along with many other factors. Examples include high Vitamin K intake and synthetic hydrated vegetable oils.

Many women and men endure skincare challenges. My husband is a good example of what  many can experience when they transition from a strategically annihilating diet (S.A.D.) and unhealthy toxic lifestyle to one that is healthy and organic.

He was raised on a S.A.D. Diet and used mainstream toxic chemically laden personal care products from early childhood until early adulthood. Each day as my pre-teen daughter looks into the mirror, she winces at the sight of the acne populating around the tip of her nose. It’s a passage of life, I tell her calmly and sincerely. She winces even more and curses the hormones erupting through her tender skin. As the memories of my teenage years flood to me, I knowingly smile that my daughter is armed with more knowledge and insight about how to better care for her skin than I at her age.
